Companion Goldens of the Carolinas

         There is no denying that Golden Retrievers are one of the most beloved dog breeds out there. But it wasn't until a trip to the beach with my family as a child where I fell in love with the breed. There was a couple that had a Golden Retriever named Max that stayed right beside of us. Max was all smiles and so friendly. He loved to please his owners and never met a stranger. I played with him every chance I got. We even got the opportunity to visit him and his owners at their lake house a year later. From then on, my hopes were to have a Golden Retriever like Max.

 

         As it happens, life went on. I got married and had a few children. :-) Once we were ready to welcome a Golden in our home, we started researching the breed more. I leaned toward the Red color and noticed that there weren't many options in the Piedmont area. Soon we found Ruth. My husband then suggested that we get two Goldens and one day breed them for others looking for a red golden in our area. I was elated about having two Goldens and already having knowledge of breeding puppies from my dad with beagles and his pawpaw with spaniels; why not? So to make our idea come alive and complete, we found Boaz. 

 

       And that's where it all began. Enjoying what we do every moment. Along with our 6 children, we love these dogs to pieces. Not only have we learned so much about them, we now want to continue bettering this breed and offer happy, healthy companion in the home and in the field puppies to others who also love this breed.
